Mentorship, Consultations and Coaching

We provide coaching, consultations, mentorship, and guidance:

  • Behavioral health

  • Behavior activation

  • Habit reversal

  • Behavioral presentations of gut health, chronic pain, nutrient depletion, and sleep disturbances

    • Sleep problems in ASD are not secondary symptoms they are a core, biologically rooted feature interacting with sensory, emotional, and environmental systems. Effective management requires individualized, multimodal intervention, not a single solution.

    • Current research indicates that there is an association between presence of SIBs and autism. Additionally, there is a higher prevalence of SIBs in autistic population with co-morbid psychiatric disorders and other organic variables such as chronic pain and/or inflammation.

  • Trauma-informed approaches

    • Trauma-informed care for autism views autistic behaviors as ways people manage their nervous system and feel safe. It recognizes that trauma and sensory stress are common, and focuses on predictability, autonomy, sensory support, and co-regulation to prevent further trauma and support participation.

    • Autistic individuals experience higher rates of trauma exposure (bullying, restraint, medical trauma, sensory overwhelm) and heightened physiological stress reactivity, but trauma often presents atypically: increased rigidity, shutdowns, skill loss, escalation of “behavior” rather than verbal distress, sensory avoidance or aggression, regression mistaken for “noncompliance.”

  • Behavioral presentation of nutritional deficiencies and side effects of medications

  • Behavioral presentation of gastrointestinal problems

  • Gut-Brain axis and behavior

  • Early Intervention

  • Teens, hormones, and behavior

    • Autism in Females There is a common misconception that autism is nearly four times more common among boys than among girls. While more boys than girls are diagnosed with ASD, there might be a different ratio than 4:1. Autistic symptoms in males can have a different presentation than in females. In addition, autistic females experience heightened sensitivity to hormonal fluctuations. These shifts can lead to anxiety, fatigue, sensory sensitivity, and unwanted behaviors.

    • Executive Function Executive functioning (EF) is the brain’s director of operations: it manages and coordinates various processes, identifies and filters importance of the sensory input and coordinates the output. It is a set of specific cognitive skills such as impulse control, decision making, planning, maintaining motivation, attention control, finishing tasks, and many more…, increasing flexibility, initiating difficult tasks, managing own time, or self-monitoring.

  • And more…
